Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I need to hire a cook supervisor and besides supervising he will need to do physical job (he will need to cook more than 50% of the time) How can I legally pay him Salary or Hourly?

The general rule is if an employee is performing non-exempt work more than 50% of the work week, he or she is a non-exempt employee. To be an exempt manager, the employee must perform managerial functions over at least 2 full-time employees more than half the time.
