Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Hello, I hired an office manager and assigned her to write the procedures manual for every employee. The accountant refused to cooperate and I had to called her into my office and ask her to cooperate. she didn't want to let the new office manager know what she does in detail. So I asked the accountant to do her own procedures manual and she was so upset and started crying. The following day didn't showed up to work. Her husband called to say she was resting and has a doctor excuse to work. I called to find out how she was doing and her husband told me that she was under medication. He also told me that they were good people but it this happen again to his wife, I will have to face him that I din't know him. I am worry and don't know what to do. She is coming back to work today. But who worries me is her husband because he threated me.

Something sounds very odd about this scenario. If you did nothing to upset the accountant, as you describe, there is a reason she does not want anyone to know what she has been doing and why she is reacting so strangely.
