Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Hiring abroad

If a US organization discriminates in their hiring

practices based on age or national origen, when hiring

non-us citizens who live abroad, to work in a non-us

branch office, can that organization be held liable for

discrimination the same as if it was hiring for a US

based position?

Thanks
