Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Holiday Pay

I will submit my two week notice a few days b/f a holiday that is considered a paid holiday by my company. Can my company refuse to pay me for that day since it falls under one of my ''two week'' days?

Re: Holiday Pay

Employers are not legally required to pay for holidays, unless contracted for. This fringe benefit would be subject to the terms of any written plan. You will need to review the plan, if one exists, to determine what your rights are. If there is no plan, you are probably out of luck.
