Hostile Work Environment

Is there any protection from a manipulative manager (dept of 7) who uses gossip, breaks confidentiality to fellow employees, has outside work expectations, as well as creating work performance problems/issues? The work performance issues are the latest means of harassment and comes after being on the same job for nearly two years.

This response assumes you work for a CA employer within CA. What you describe may not rise to the level to afford you much protection. You should file a complaint with the company's HR department, or follow any other complaint procedure published by your employer. If you do not get satisfaction internally, you can always seek the advice of a local, employment law attorney.
