hourly employee is called and told not to work what do we pay

Work is not available we call the hourly employee at home and tell him not to come to work are we obligated to pay him a full or portion of his pay.

number 2: An employee shows up for work but work is not available and he/she is sent home, what are we obligated to pay?

when employees report to work on a scheduled workday, employers must provide them with at least half their regular day's work (or two hours work, whichever is greater) or pay them a show up premium.

If you call them and tell them not to come you owe nothing.
