If you were injured at work while performing work duties, you can file a workers' compensation case to get treatment for your wrist even if you quit. If you were not allowed to take at least 2 10 minute breaks in 8 hours, you can get one hour of pay for each day the employer did not allow you to take a break plus attorneys' fees. If the employer allowed you to take breaks, but you chose not to take them, you cannot collect. You should consult a workers' compensation attorney if you have not done so and with regard to the break issue, if you were not allowed requisite breaks, contact an employment law attorney.
You can continue to treat even after you quit your job and you are entitled to receive continued treatment, settlement for permanent disability and future medical treatment. Feel free to call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.
