Legal Question in Employment Law in California
My husband was eligible for medical benefits as of 10/01/10. I was told that we had 30 days to get the paperwork in but that we would be covered from 10/01/10. We turned it in on 10/20/10 and saved our medical receipts. My husband found a better paying job and left his job on good terms on 10/21/10. I found out that HR never sent in our paper work because he left the day after we turned in our paperwork which meant nothing from 10/01/10 was now covered. Is this legal?
