Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My husband works for the orange county transportation authority.e ust found out from his union rep tat he was fired. what can we do to fight this.can he file unemployment??

That is what his union is for...to fight the termination. He should makes sure they appeal timely. And yes, he can apply for unemployment. Whether it is granted depends on the reason he was fired.
