Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Ii'm required to use my own vehical for my job to transport meds to a radius of 4.4 miles of hospital buildings to restock their machines. The hospital I work for is having me put "buisness-use" on my car insurance and made me up my "bodily injury " on the car insurance also. The hospital is non profit. I've asked my boss to be reimbursed for the added insurance but he doesn't believe he has to. What does the California state law say about this?

The law requires employees to be reimbursed for expenses the employer requires them to incur. If your employer is paying you mileage at the IRS rate, however, that is presumed to cover business use insurance at appropriate deductibles and coverages.
