Re: interest on a labor board court judgment
Once a labor board award has been confirmed as a money judgment in civil court, it accrues interest at 10% like any other California money judgment. It is simple interest. In order to calculate the accrued interest, you take 10% of the judgment and divide that number by 365 to get the interest that accrues each day.
A $10,000 earns interest of $1,000 per year. Diving that by 365 days, that $10,000 judgment accrues interest at about $2.74 per day. In 100 days, it will have accrused $274 in interest.
