Interview Documentation
I am a supervisor and asked an employee to do an interview with me. I have asked her to give me the original oral questioner that we have used to do the interview. She has informed me that she does not have to give me the origianl for my files but she will make a copy and give it to me. Is that right? Or do I need to keep originals for my files.

According to the Labor Code, employees are entitled to have a copy of any documents they have signed relating to obtaining or holding employment. The code says nothing about their right to maintaining possession of the original. In my opinion, the original documents are the property of the company and you have the right to ask that it be returned.
P.S. Proceed with caution. This appears to be a problem employee before even being hired.
