Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Invasion of privacy
My supervisor went through my purse while I was in the restroom two other employees saw this and reported it. I requested something be to and she was talked to about it and said she did realize shed did any thing wrong. They asked her not to do that again. Now little remarks are being made and exclusion. My superiors say I need to work this out with my supervisor. They don't want to get involved. Help, What can I do?

Your privacy rights were violated. But how have you been damaged? You could sue your supervisor, maybe even the company if they authorized her to do this, but lawsuits are expensive and what do you stand to gain? That is the question you must ask yourself.
Re: Invasion of privacy
