Can you go to jail for lying that you were awarded a degree in your transcripts for a job? Will they find out?

An employer which exercises diligence might learn of your deception. If you were employed, you could lose your job.

You will probably be fired if they find out you falsified your background. You won't go to jail. But not a good way to start a career.
