Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Hello, my name is James , I work for a company and my supervisor works for a insurance business on the side. Everyday I see him he trys to get me to go to a career seminar for the company he works for on the side. I have told him a long time ago that I am not interested, but everyday he keeps on asking me to go to this seminar. The person above him also works for this insurance company on the side and I am wondering if solicitation during work time is legal or at least harassment because everyday he keeps on asking me about it and it puts me in a awkward situation because he is my boss and the person above him is part of this other company too.I don't know what else to do, I need help or advice.

There is nothing per se illegal about what you describe, unless it has an actual adverse impact on your terms and conditions of employment. If you want to make an issue of this, you'll have to go to the person above your supervisor's supervisor, I guess.
