Legal Question in Employment Law in California

On the Job Discrimination

I work for a start-up company that I helped found and although I did not start as a part of management I have recently been promoted to Manager status after 9 months with the company. I did not receive an increase in pay or stock options for this promotion. Another employee recently got promoted after 6 months of the company (from Manager to Director) and did receive an increase in pay and additional options. She is white & female, while I am non-white & male. Is this discrimination? My promotion did include an expansion of responsibilities and I meet all the qualifications of the job.

Re: On the Job Discrimination

It is discrimination only if you can prove racial bias.
