Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My former job was sales, and the company constanly pushed us to sell and sell and almost to a point where they wanted you to lie to customers over the phone to get the sale...Pressured and then constantly harrased by closely monitoring your calls as they sit next to you...I was so stressed out an pressured that I said I quit. Am I entitled to collete unemployment?

Probably not, but you could try. Employees who quit their jobs are generally not eligible to receive unemployment. You will hear it said that all jobs involve some degree of stress, particularly sales jobs. The EDD's view is that it is better to have a job, even a stressful one, than to quit and have none at all. The burden will be on you to prove you were forced to quit, that you took reasonable measures to work it out with your employer and that no reasonable person would have endured the burdens placed on you.
