job status if going on disability

I would like to know my rights if I have to go on medical disability. Can my current employer terminate me and is so can I still collect disability payments?

We have short term and long term insurance.

do I have to tell future potential employers that i once collected disability?

Once your sick time, vacation time and any days due you under the family leave act are used up you can be lett go if still on disability. You will still be able to collect disability and you do not have to tell future employers.
