Doing two jobs only getting paid for one

My husband is a supervisor in a machine shop he receives salarybut we were just informed that they want him to also run a machine and still do all of his supervisor duties only only receive his salary for the supervisor postion and receive nothing for running the machine is this right is it even legal?????

There is nothing illegal about changing the scope of an employee�s job description so what the employer has done is absolutely legal and fine. However, the change in position may or may not entitle your husband for overtime wages, which I assume he is not getting as a salaried supervisor.
