Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Jury Duty

My grilfriend whom is pregnant had Jury Duty form 8:00am to 5:30pm. She informed her supervisor about a month ago and the morning of Jury Duty. At about 5:45pm she called her employer that she just got off Jury Duty. Her employer told her she was scheduled to work and to report for her remaining shift "normaly 3:00pm to 12:30am". My Question is did her employer violite any laws by making her report to work after being on Jury Duty for over 9 hours?

Thank You

Re: Jury Duty

No, it was not a violation. It would be illegal for him to tell her to come to work instead of going to jury duty.
