Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Is there a Labor Law for when I should be paid?

I currently work for a company that has a pay schedule of: the 1st thru 15th, paid on the 18th of that month- the 16th thru 31st, paid on the 3rd of the next month. I have heard that our paydays may be changed but I do not know what the change date(s) will be. Is there a labor law that states when an employee must be paid for wages earned when they are still employed by the company?

Yes, California Labor Code Section 204, requires that employees be paid twice a month, on dates to be determined by the employer in advance. The exact days are not legislated but must be paid within 10 days after the work is performed.
