Can I be laid off if my employer knows I am pregnant

My Manager told me that the head of our department told her last week that he wanted to lay me off that his boss told him to get rid of C and D employees and said I was one of those. He said that me being pregnant is getting old and that he could lay me off and rehire someone to do the job I am doing and change the title. I am 5 months pregnant and to be told this is very stressfull. I should be going on Maternity leave in 4 months.

Read CA Government Code Section 12945. If you get terminated AND you worked in LA county, call our office to discuss.
