Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I was laid off last week while on a medical disability. My leave was supposed to end on October 15th, but my doctor was not sure I was ready to go back. Now stress of the layoff has negatively impacted my health. Here is the issue, I was told that if I come back on the 15th, I will immediately be put on administrative leave and paid my full pay until my separation date of December 1st. If I don't go back because my doctor keeps me off past this week, at what point will I be unable to collect disability. Also, I have applied for permanent disability and I'm afraid that going back to work, even on paper, will hurt my case. Help!? I have to make the decision by Thursday.
