Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Law Describing Compensation for Termination after relocation of more than 500 wi

I would like to know if there is truly a CA law that stipulates that an employer must pay one year salary to an individual if they are terminated after relocating more than 100 miles before 90 days. The employee has been at the company more than one year an is in great standing and has received excellent recommendations, in writing, from the employer.

We moved from Bay Area to Southern Cal after a promotion within the company that the employee has been with for over a year. There has been a management turn over and the new management has brought in their own people thus after 29 days in the new area employment was terminated. The company is paying 2 weeks severance but no moving expenses etc. My significant other quit her position in the Bay Area and has not found other employment in the 29 day period. We have been told that there is a CA law that protects employees. Please help as soon as possible. We have not been able to sift through the laws to find such law but an aquaintence of ours took advantage of such a law many years ago.
