Laying off laws/responsibilities
If I was laid off my job 3 weeks after being BEGGED to come back because my employer had a personal problem, what are my rights regarding severance pay and health insurance? I was offered a severance package ( which I haven't received yet)but my there was no offer to keep my health insurance up and we don't qualify for COBRA. This was a small (3 employees) doctor's office. The receptionist however, was allowed to keep her job until she recently quit. I am out! I feel violated.

you are only entitled to COBRA, if you qualify.
