Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Is it legal for my boss to insult me daily to my co-workers behind my back?

I have printed copies of multiple (more than 50) e-mails in my possession which clearly show that there are daily conversations between my manager and every single co-worker in my office that repeatedly insult me nearly every day for a period of six months. I am the only male employee in my office and I find this very disturbing. Some of the e-mails actually say ''I want to kill--name removed--'' It is quite disturbing and uncomfortable even if it is a joke or an exaggeration. Is this legal? How do I address the issue since they do not know that I know about the conversations? Do I have legal recourse?

Aside from threats that could be considered assaults, unless the harassment is gender-based, there is likely no recourse.
