Does my legal signature have to match my social security card? If so, or if not, is there printable proof?

There really is no such thing as a "legal signature" If you sign something you are agreeing to it, and whether that is with an "X" or a name with 6 middle names does not matter. It merely becomes a question of how difficult it is to show you signed.
