Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I live in california and was working for a cab company for 3 yrs. I was having some problems with the drivers, mainly one that took to a personal call me profanity and basically yelling at me. This wasnt 1st time that its been to us Dispatcher. Anyhow the owner told that we have a meeting with the driver and take of it. 3 weeks later no meeting went in to see him after leaving messages to him and getting no replies, he comes out of his office telling me what do i want he is busy and that i need to talk to the "GM" which he is the acting manager which i actually to discuss matters regarding him as well also meal period violations, he basically dismissed me and i told him i would contact the Labor Board he followed and ask me what was i going to and i stated that i was going to contact the labor board due to the violations and the being subjected to the verbal harrasment i was dealing with. i told him i felt it wa unfair that he is so quick to reprimand us but fails to defend us. Right then the GM walked out the door where we were at and stated "ok your terminated" i was look like what ok for stating that im going to labor board. No reply given is this possible wrongful termination
