Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I'm an LVN.
I started working for a particular hospital starting August of 2008. Long story short, I found out I was pregnant in January of this year, had complications and was put on bedrest. But it was ok... I was covered by the FMLA. So once my doctor said I was medically cleared I could go back. 4 months I suffered a miscarriage due to fetal demise losing both my twins. I was devastated. I became extremely reclusive.
In order to "get back out there" I started running a couple errands at a time then a couple of classes at school, that would go toward my RN (which this hospital is always encouraging). I was medically cleared and had 3 MORE WEEKS of school left and asked my boss if I could only work weekends to finish school. She said "nope, drop a couple of classes" I was aceing them and doing so well. So I felt forced to quit. I found out she had done this to another employee as well, BUT she made an exception for her FOR A YEAR.
Do I have a case? against her... she's always bullying people at work, but seems she'll work with you if she feels like it... very unprofessional. And now also looking for a new job...

sounds like discrimination, but you must be able to prove a pattern against you
