Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Can my manager call me and yell at me when i am off of work

I have a managerr who was previously my roommate. Since I moved out he constantly calls me to yell at me when I am off of work. He and i are no longer friends to a personal level and he has said that he can bring personal problems againstme while working, and has called me an idiot and has yelled at me at work while behind the counter about bills that need to be paid when we were roommates. He has told me that my opion does not count because I do not produce enough sales, Can he do these things to me?

If i were to try and take him to court do i have a chance of getting him fired and getting money out of the company for the stress he has caused me?

get an answering machine and start to screen your calls. dont answer if it is him and maybe he will leave a treatening message on the tape you can use against him.
