Legal Question in Employment Law in California
manager is discriminating against me in many ways, not based on gender or sex, b
I was started at a lower pay than everyone else who has ever worked for the business (its only been open since april 2003) I have had a couple serious allegations brought against me with no actual cause, the manager has lied to me and insulted me when i confronted him. i was never consulted prior to being repremanded over 2 seperate issues, and now he is threatening termination for ''sexual'' harassment when the complainer is on good terms with me. he did not follow the harassment complaint procedure contract that we had to sign upon employment. PLEASE HELP!It is beginning to seem more personal than work related. many more details!

Re: manager is discriminating against me in many ways, not based on gender or se
If you are a California employee, you are most likely an "at will" employee. The employer can repremand and even terminate you, even if the allegations are unfounded. As a short term employee, you have very little protection from arbitrary treatment, unless the employer's action is based on unlawful discrimination (i.e. race, religion, gender, age, disability, etc.)
