Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Maternity leave and family act

I want to know if I would be eligible for the extension of leave under the family act.

Do I have four weeks before I have the baby and six weeks after I have the baby. If I leave the office only a few days before I have the baby then are the six weeks counted form the day i have the baby or from the day I leave?

The company is under 50 employees. I am elegible for a 6 weeks extension after having already taken the six weeks leave after the baby was born?

Please let me know. I will appreciate your help.

Thank you,

Re: Maternity leave and family act

Since you work for a company with less than 50 employees, you are entitled to 4 months of leave for the birth or disabilities related to the pregnancy
