Legal Question in Employment Law in California

minimum salary

Is there a minimum salary range for an employee in the State of California working a MINIMUM of 40hrs per week? If so, how is that computed?

Are salary employees eligible for overtime pay?

Re: minimum salary

The min wage in CA is I believe now $7.50 and going to $8.00 in 2008. Generally, salaried employees are not eligible for overtime pay, but there are certainly exceptions to the general rule.
