Your inquiry illustrates the economic driver of competitive wage negotiation. While the legal answer is "No," the economic answer is "maybe." You and millions of other workers will ask: If I was worth more than worker Joe or Juanita on Monday, why am I comparatively not worth as much more on Tuesday, when the new minimum wage law took effect? The bottom line is there business will feel a pressure to raise the boat for everyone, which will result in some increased labor costs, but how much? We have to wait for the data to come in from the Dept. of Labor.
