If I take my minor daughtet to urgent care and the doctor gives her a note stating she should not return to school for two days, when i notify my employeer of this fact, should it count against my sick time and cause me to be written up?

Taking time off to care for a sick child, does count against sick time as authorized in California Labor Code section 233. But it should not result in a write up as this is prohibited under paragraph (C) of that section. You can cite this code to your employer.
