Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Help!! I was misclassified as an independent contractor. Could I go to court and sue for labor law violations or do I first need to establish that I actually am an employee?

You can go to Court and/or the Labor Commissioner and allege that you were misclassified. However, I would strongly recommend consulting with an attorney before you go forward. Good luck!
