Misrepresentation

Are verbal agreements between an employer and prospective employee binding ? In an at-will state, can an employer terminate an employee within the trial period for no justifiable reason ?

Re: Misrepresentation

If you are an at-will employee you can be fired any time and for any reason as long as it is not an illegal reason. If you have a written contract then you would be a contract employee and you and the employer would be bound to the terms of the contract.

Good Luck!
