Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Non payment for services provided

I worked as a contractor for a computer consultancy company. I worked for an assignment for this company, for which I have not received the payment for the last week of the contract. To get out of this payment situation, this company claims that the work done by me was not satisfactory, which is contrary to the fact as I had taken a email conformation for satisfactory performance. Can you help, for northern California.
