Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I would like to know if anyone in the OC would like to take my case. I tried contacting an attorney but he won't return my calls so I wonder if anyone is interested in my case:

From January through June I was employed in a company. In June my contract was over. My supervisor in this company quit and he started his own company. I contacted him after my contract was over, because I was interested in working with him.

He contacted me after a month and he made me an offer.

Two months after he hired me. My former employer found out and threatened him saying that he got my information from them while he was still employed with them. Which is not true at all. He didn't tell me anything until my contract was over.

He and his partner didn't want to take the risk of a law suit. So they had to let me go. I lost a very high paying job because of this, now I'm unemployed and unable to find such a good position and pay.

This just happened about a week and a half ago.

Thank you. Let me know and I will contact you. Orange County, CA.

You may have a case for negligent/intentional interference with contract against the former employer but more facts are needed. For example, did the old employer state this to the new employer in writing and would the new employer provide a statement which explains that this was the reason they let you go?

Feel free to contact me at your convenience.
