Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Overtime Exemptions

FLSA Section 13(a)(3) provides an exemption on overtime laws for seasonal amusement establishments. How does this apply in California? Does California allow for this exemption or do have their own law that precludes this from being used? Thanks.

Re: Overtime Exemptions

Generally California Law is more restrictive. Wage Order 10 applies to the Amusment Industry. I'm not sure what exemption you are looking for but if it exists, it would be specified in the Wage order. You can view all the wage orders at: http://www.dir.ca.gov/Iwc/WageOrderIndustries.htm
