Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I get paid on 1st and 17th of month. My boss owes me from 1st and told me there would be a 3 day delay in processing direct deposit...I agreed. It is now the 6th and nothing pending as far as a deposit. He now says 3 business day delay.....What are my rights in CA? At what point can I walk away without quitting? I have never drawn unemployment and never worked for such a company. I do not want to jeapordize my rights by walking out but he is out of the country....how convenient!

You might complain to EDD. Waiting time penalties might attach for unpaid wages.
