Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Should I be getting paid?
After a year of continual harrassment by my superior at work and nothing being done by the HR in our building who was aware of the issues, I decided to call the integrity hotline our store provides to employees. There is suppose to be no retaliation from any memeber of management if a call like this is made. After I made this call I was brought into the managers office with the HR present and was told that they were very disappointed in me for making that call. The atmosphere in that room was so horrible that i requested a transfer to another one of our stores. The store manager in that room made if very clear that she would gladly approve the transfer and that she didnt want me there anymore. Thats been two weeks ago, i havent worked, they're not moving on my transfer and I'm not getting paid. I havent quit or said I didnt want to work. That havent fired me and have no grounds to. I need to get paid. What can I do?

Re: Should I be getting paid?
Your question is a little unclear. Why haven’t you been paid? Is this because you were terminated, or because they are withholding your paycheck? Harassment and retaliation are not legal in the workplace, but to provide you with a more decisive answer you should re-post your question.
