Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Possible participation in suit against employer.

My grandson is a CPA. If I do some clerical work for him, would I be subject to be part of any law suit brought against him in the future. If so, what can I do to protect myself? I may be getting an hourly wage. This would be informal temporary employment. Thank you.

Anyone with the filing fee can bring a lawsuit against anyone but if all you are doing is clerical work it would be very unlikely you would be named in any lawsuit.
