Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Pay Schedule

I am payed on the 1st and 15th. Last pay period, I was not payed until the 3rd because the 1st fell on a Saturday. Is there a law that states that an employer must pay you on the date scheduled?

Re: Pay Schedule

Yes, Labor Code 207 requires your employer to post the days of the month on which you will be paid. Labor Code 204 requires the employer to pay you on those dates, i.e., if the employer chooses the 1st and 15th, they must pay you on the 1st or 15th, or ensure that your payment is received by that date. If the 1st is a Saturday, you must be provided payment the day before.
