Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Paycheck error
My wife's paycheck reflected a bonus for a recruitment referral when she didn't recruit anyone to her work. Also, the bonus is ten times what a normal recruitment referral bonus is for her work. I think this is an error. If it is, what do we need to do, and what sort of actions is the company (a hospital) limited to? Thanks.

Re: Paycheck error
Sure its an error. She didnt recruit anyone and therefore she is not entitled to the bonus. She needs to report the error to her employer so they can either cancel the check or have your wife re-pay the bonus.
