Legal Question in Employment Law in California

PayCheck

I was fired on June 12th 2001 and in my termination letter addressed to me it stated that they had ten days to comply in sending my pay check to me. Well, it is now Auguest 2nd 2001 and still no paycheck. What can i do? Do i have any rigths?

This employer has not been honest with you. California law requires employers to pay employees all wages due on the day of termination.Go immediately down to your nearest Labor Commissioner's office and file a claim for your wages, plus waiting time penalties, which is the equivalent of a day's pay for every day they are late, up to a maximum of 30 days.
