Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Last Paycheck Law, California

I was fired from an employer and did not receive my last paycheck until the next pay period, almost a week and a half from my last day. I also had to go in and pick it up, my vacation pay was mailed to me a few days later seperately.

Do I have a claim?

And yes, I was fired. Meaning my last day was that day.

The labor code requires that upon termination an employee is to receive all earned wages & vacation immediately. Your employer did not comply with the labor code and would be subject to the penalties listed in the labor code.

Feel Free to contact me if you would like to pursue this matter.

Good Luck!
