Legal Question in Employment Law in California

can my payroll clerk make a rule that only two print outs of my check stubs per year? Its not in the employee hand book nor was there a memo sent. there was only verbal communication

You are required by law to be provided pay stubs with every paycheck showing earnings and itemized deductions. I believe they can be provided electronically or in paper, but they must be provided for EVERY check.
