Legal Question in Employment Law in California

pornographic web surfing

I am a computer tech and was fired becase there was pornographic material on my file. I did not put it there. There was three comp techs at the company, we all had our own file, but each had acess to all files.Now i am out a job. What can I do?

Unless the company has a policy that it can only fire for cause, it had the legal right to fire you. Where it may get itself in trouble is if it disseminates false information about you to prospective employers. Try to stay on top of what this employer says about you to others.
