post acceptance switcharoo

3 months after I accepted a position with a company that included medical benefits I was told that there were no benefits provided. I left a position that I did have benefits. Can they do this?

If the promise of benefits was in writing you may have a claim, but generally a California employer may change its benefits upon notice to employees
